Personal Supports

We Reflect What You See.

Personal Supports is hands on help with daily living, provided by trained staff who come to where your loved one already is. Families often call it in home care or one to one support. In Florida Medicaid it is called Personal Supports.

What it covers

• Getting up, dressed, washed and ready for the day
• Meals, eating, and keeping on top of the house
• Being safe at home and knowing what to do in an emergency
• Getting out into the community rather than sitting at home
• Building the small independent habits that add up over a year

How we staff it

Staff are matched to the person, not the shift. Where a consumer needs a particular gender of staff, or medication certified staff, or a specific ratio, that is set on their profile and the schedule has to honor it before anybody can be assigned.

Where we serve

Mirrah Image Services supports families across Lake, Orange, Sumter and Marion counties, including Leesburg, Eustis, Tavares, Mount Dora, Fruitland Park and the surrounding towns.

How it is paid for

This is a Florida Medicaid Waiver service, funded through the Agency for Persons with Disabilities. If your loved one is not on the waiver yet, start with our plain words guide to the APD waiting list, or come to our free application class. If you do not qualify for the waiver and paying privately is a genuine hardship, ask us about hardship assistance.
