Free APD Application Class

Free. Nothing to sign up for and nothing to buy.

If someone in your family has a developmental or intellectual disability, the APD iBudget Waiver is how Florida pays for their support. The waiting list runs for years, so the sooner the application is in, the better.

We run a free class four times a year that walks families through it and then helps them actually fill the application out.

What we cover

• What APD is, and what the iBudget Waiver actually pays for
• Who qualifies, and how a developmental disability is defined for this purpose
• What the waiting list really means, and how the priority categories work
• Then we sit down with you and help you complete the application

What the application asks for

It will ask for date of birth, Social Security number, and any diagnosis paperwork or school evaluations you have. Come even if you do not have all of it. We will tell you exactly what to go and get.

You do not have to be one of our families

This class is open to anyone. You are not signing up for anything, you are not being sold anything, and you are free to choose any provider you like afterwards, or none at all. We run it because families in Lake County keep telling us nobody explained this to them, and the waiting list only gets longer while you wait.
