Adult Day Training in Leesburg

Mirrah Image Services runs an Adult Day Training program at our own Center in Leesburg, Florida. Adult Day Training, often shortened to ADT, is a Florida Medicaid Waiver service funded through the Agency for Persons with Disabilities. It gives adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities somewhere to go during the day that is built around learning, friendship and real skills rather than just supervision.

You might know it as a day program

Most families do not walk in asking for Adult Day Training. They ask for a day program for adults with disabilities, or somewhere for their son or daughter to go during the day now that school has finished. That is the same thing. Adult Day Training is simply the name Florida Medicaid uses for it.

So if you are looking for a day program, adult programs for people with developmental disabilities, or a special needs day program in the Leesburg area, you are in the right place.

Where the Center is

The Mirrah Image Center is at 2862 West Main Street in Leesburg, Lake County. It is our own building with about 2,000 square feet of classroom space, not a room borrowed inside somebody else's facility.

Mirrah Image Services, LLC holds Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities Adult Day Training Program license number CE-ADT033, issued October 13, 2025 and valid through September 25, 2028.

The Center runs Monday to Friday. Call us and we will go through the daily schedule and what the week would look like for your loved one.

What a day looks like

Days are built around small group activities, because skills stick when people are enjoying themselves and doing things alongside other people. Over a typical month the Center runs:

• Life skills, including cooking in our kitchen, budgeting, and everyday independence
• Creative arts, art studio sessions, and a photography and creative lens group
• Fitness and movement
• Communication and social skills groups
• Community outings and field trips
• Podcast, voice studio, and t shirt and design projects
• Showcases, where people perform or display what they have been working on

Who Adult Day Training is for

Adult Day Training is for adults aged 22 and over, or 18 and over with a standard high school diploma. Most people here are funded through the APD iBudget Waiver, and we also work with CDC+, private pay and families we help through our own hardship assistance. If you are not sure whether your loved one qualifies, or they are not on the waiting list yet, we run a free class four times a year that helps families apply.

Where we serve

Families travel to the Center from across Lake County and the surrounding area. Mirrah Image Services also provides in home and community supports across Lake, Orange, Sumter and Marion counties, including Personal Supports, Companion Services, Supported Living Coaching, Supported Employment and Respite.

How to get started

Call us and ask. If your loved one already has APD funding and a Waiver Support Coordinator, we can talk to your coordinator directly. If they do not, we will tell you honestly what the next step is, even if that step has nothing to do with us.
