APD supports people with developmental disabilities and their families in living, learning, and working in their communities.
APD Medicaid Waiver #:
Personal care assistance is a service that assists a recipient with eating and meal preparation, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and other self-care activities of daily living. The service also includes activities such as assistance with meal preparation, bed making, and vacuuming when these activities are essential to the recipient's health, safety, and welfare and when no one else is available to perform them.
Respite care is a service that provides supportive care when the primary caregiver is unable to perform these duties due to a planned brief absence, an emergency absence, or when the caregiver is available but temporarily physically unable to care for or supervise the recipient for a short period.
Supported living is an opportunity for adults with developmental disabilities to choose where, how and with whom they live. People receive personalized supports needed to maintain their own private home. Through supported living, individuals, even people with severe disabilities can receive supports to live in their own homes.
Supported Employment helps individuals seek and obtain competitive employment in a field they desire to work within. A job coach supports and supports the individual for a specified time for Community Based Employment.
